Translate app on iPhone no longer works after recent software update

I don’t remember exactly when, but since one of the last software updates the translate app on my iPhone does not work properly anymore. It just doesn’t download the languages and it says that without downloading them it is not possible to use the app. Has anyone got the same problem?

For me it’s far worse than this.

I can download languages, I can enter text. Everything seems fine.

upon inputting text: it doesn’t do anything. Whether or not the language is downloaded. Whether I have offline translate turned on or off.

I enter text and it simply does not produce a translation.

Im going to rate the app 1 star until this is fixed.

although its already rated 2 stars and Apple doesn’t seem to care.

Greetings leonardoparietti,

It sounds like the Translate app isn’t working after the latest update. We know how important having a working Translate app is for you, and we will help get you to the right place to find a resolution.

1. Close and reopen the app
Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

2. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

3. Check for updates
To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

I have installed the Google Play app English Polish Translator by MobiLionInc on my Nokia mobile today. All ok. Now I want to download it to my iPad but it won’t let me. Says it is already installed on the Nokia and no other devices available (although it says you can download it to other devices) . Can anyone help please?

You can’t install Google play stuff on Apple devices, only apps you get from apple’s App Store.
