Mac Mini M2 for Gaming and Editing

Hello, i’m a college student looking to get a Mac Mini M2 (250gb model) because of the fair price point. I already have a Macbook (2020 intel 250gb 16gb ram) but I want a desktop.

I will be using the Mac Mini for mild editing on final cut pro and after effects. For gaming i’m looking to play Minecraft or sims, and some cloud gaming. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Will it run smooth or overheat like my macbook does?
