Verify Identity to "unlock full Apple Cash features" and Use Apple Cash to pay Apple Card

I searched and read several articles on this forum regarding how to pay my Apple Card balance with my Apple Cash (which I accidentally enabled and regret ever doing as it was so simple to simply apply the cash directly before enabling Apple Cash itself as a separate "card"). Anyway, in Settings - Wallet & Apple Pay - under Payment Cards select Apple Cash - scroll down and see if you have to VERIFY IDENTITY (or similar). Doing so will UNLOCK ALL FEATURES of Apple Cash, INCLUDING paying Apple Card balance with Apple Cash by going into Wallet, Pay Now/Early, select amount & click Pay, tap on your payment account, then switch on Apple Cash to use its balance before using your selected payment method.

Why is THIS explanation not found in any of the articles...? Plenty of steps on everything but the crucial "Verify Identity" step. I hope you find this useful.
