What MacBook would be best for a compsci // I.T major ?

More importantly, you should contact your school and ask what apps are required for your program and classes. Are they compatible with macOS? What hardware do they require?


Side note, if you're taking an x86/x64 assembly class, Apple silicon Macs (M1 and later) are likely unsuitable for that - they use the ARM instruction set, not the Intel/AMD x86/x64 instruction set that you'll probably be working with in class.
