Which Macbook?

I think a lot depends on what your university says is best suited for you.

But other considerations you might have:

• How many devices will you connect via cable?
• Will you be using an external monitor in addition to your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro's display? Will you want 2 or more external monitors?
• What size screen do you want? The MacBook Air choices are 13" and 15". The MacBook Pro choices are 14" and 16".
• Apple offers an education discount that will save you money. Most other resellers don't offer this.
• If your budget is tight, look at Apple Refurbished Macs...they have the same complete warranty as new and can be a nice savings for those on a budget.

Contact the university and specifically the department of your course of study and ask them what computer is best for your course of study. You need to be 100% compatible with the course of study, your professors, the IT Support, and other students.

We have no idea what the school supports or what their computer requirements are.
