How to purchase an iPhone 15 with SIM slot

No iPhone 14 or above originally sold in the USA will have a physical SIM card slot. Apple designs its products to last and needs to be ahead of the curve; in a few years, very few people there will be using physical SIM cards.

People who reside outside it are supposed to buy one from a local store; these still support them.

People who travel outside it are supposed to use an eSIM from a local carrier or get a roaming plan.

As already stated, there is not an option to purchase an iPhone in the US with a SIM.

iPhones sold in the US. do not have SIM card slots.

iPhones sold in China, Hong Kong, & Macau have two SIM card slots, no eSIMs.

iPhones sold in the rest of the world have one SIM card slot and one eSIM.

Order an iPhone 15 from Apple Canada online. Shipping address to a UPS store in Canada. They charge $10.00 plus shipping cost to cross ship to the US. I have done it four times. Twice with a 14 and twice with 15s. Only catch is that you currently need a sim. You cannot get a sim to insert. I went into Verizon store with an 11 and asked to transfer my 13 eSIM to a physical sim and then inserted sim to my 14 and then direct into my 15. All good.

If you do, I believe that it won't have a warranty that's good in the U.S.

If you're a U.S. citizen/resident who bought the phone elsewhere (to get the physical SIM slot), and something goes wrong with the phone during the warranty period, you might have to take the phone back to the country or region where it was sold, to get service.

That's correct. You would either need to go to Canada to pick up the phone or have it shipped to a legitimate address in Canada (not a P.O. Box or re-shipper).

if you are looking for an iPhone 14 or newer with the slot for the SIM, you need to buy it outside the USA

I live in the USA, but I bought my 14 PRO in Europe to have the SIM slot. I need to have a back up while on the road and if something happen to my daily driver, I can simply plug the SIM into the iPhone 13 Mini that I carry as a back up phone and I’m back in business in a few seconds. It can’t be so quick with an e-sim that requires time and data be activated.

Have a friend outside the US buy it and ship it to you. It will cost substantially more because of currency differences and taxes (HST in Canada, VAT in most other countries), and it won’t have a warranty in the US.

I'm sorry I don't know what that means. In order to buy an iPhone 15 with a physical SIM slot, you need to buy the phone in any country other than the U.S. Generally, in order to buy an iPhone intended for sale in a particular country, you must be in that country.

You will have to buy it in any other country except the US. But almost all countries have carriers that support eSIM, so not having a physical SIM slot should not be a problem→Find wireless carriers and worldwide service providers that offer eSIM service - Apple Support

Don't buy the iPhone 15 in the U.S. The problem though....if you live in the U.S.....the phone will have no warranty.

you could get it online abroad(UK or France), and they will deliver to you if you don’t mind the shipping fee.

You cannot get this anywhere in the U.S. We can't help in other countries.

If you buy a phone from an out-of-country seller, how will this affect the warranty? Also, how will it affect the cellular radio frequency coverage? iPhones sold in different parts of the world can have different radio band coverage, presumably reflecting the carrier networks and government frequency band regulations that Apple believes will apply to them in their home markets.
