Future updates for a 2019 MacBook Pro
I am purchasing a refurbished 2019 15 in Mac Book Pro. How many future updates will be available for this model?
MacBook Pro (2017 – 2020)
We are not Apple so we cannot know. The new version of macOS , Sonoma, was just announced and will work as far back as 2018 Macbook Pros. As end users we know:
- that Apple fully supports the current OS version plus two previous ones
- a new OS comes out once a year.
Applying those points, I'll hazard a guess that you have 3-4 years of support, but I am not Apple.
If you need more, you need to talk with Apple, but they will not see your inquiry in this user-to-user setting.
