watch 9 with iPhone Xr
In the small print Apple says Watch9 is compatible with iPhone Xs and later. I have an iPhone Xr what am I missing?

In terms of hardware, nothing. The iPhone XS just happened to come out first.
If it matters, the specific requirement for pairing that watch is iOS 17, which is compatible with both.
