Macbook Air M1 running Ventura 13.4.1 and trying to use a Lenovo Think vision via USB-C to display port.

I have a Macbook Air M1 running Ventura 13.4.1 and trying to use a Lenovo Think vision via USB-C to display port.

The macbook air will detect the external display and connect but it will be black and not work.

When I Click the E24-10 as a main display my screen on my macbook turns into a default wallpaper while the external monitor stays black. This leaves me with no control or navigation until I unplug the monitor.

This same monitor works with my 2017 macbook pro , my surface pro, and alienware so the monitor is not the problem

Why is this not working ?

Which external monitors are compatible with this computer ?

how can I fix this ?

By any chance, did you have things up so that you were mirroring the M1 MacBook Air's screen to the monitor – rather than running the monitor in extended desktop mode?

I'd suggest not mirroring the two. That may be causing it to try to find some compromise resolution or least common denominator resolution.
