I upgraded to ventura 13.5 update and now my Canon Pixma G3060 printer won't print full pages.

I have upgraded my iMac Apple M1 to Ventura 13.5.2 and now my printer won't print full pages.

It starts printing just fine until the middle of the page or beginning of the page then it stops. it gives me the partially printed page. I tried installing and uninstalling the printer driver. I tried to remove the printer and add it again. I even found the printer driver in the "Printers" location on iMacand removing it manually but still won't work. Please help

Hi,

The Canon G3060 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's AirPrint technology. This means that printing should not require an extra driver, nor any other software, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network.

How is your printer connected?

In order to check whether the printer as such is fully working, you could try to make a copy using the Copy button.

Also, is it possible to print normally from an iPhone or iPad?

If necessary, you may have to try a printing system reset followed by re-adding the printer.

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything.

Difficult to say. It could of course be some kind of hardware problem.

I assume that you have tried power cycling the printer and the Mac.

Have you tried a safe boot, followed by a normal startup?

Start up your Mac in safe mode – Apple Support (UK)

Did you actually test copying a document directly from the printer (just to verify that the printer internally is OK)?

What about (again) testing AirPrint (with the printer, the Mac and possibly an iPhone/iPad connected to the same Wi-Fi router), just to rule out a problem with USB and/or the printer driver? Try once more to reset the Mac printing system, and then re-add the printer to use AirPrint (without an additional driver).

Sorry, no further ideas.

Thank you for the information. Have you tested the printer as such by copying (and/or iPhone/iPad printing)?

The Canon support site for G3060 (with macOS 13 Ventura selected) has a reference to AirPrint only.

https://asia.canon/en/support/PIXMA%20G3060/model

Normally, AirPrint works with a network connection. As mentioned earlier, AirPrint can be used without an additional driver. Some Canon models have the ability to run driverless even when connected via USB, but I do not know whether this is the case with the G3060.

Otherwise, a printer driver would be needed for USB. What kind of driver have you been using? It is not sure that this driver is compatible with macOS 13 Ventura. If not, you may have to change to a network connection (via a Wi-Fi router) or look for an appropriate driver for USB. Could this be something like the macOS 13 CUPS driver for the G3000 model (https://asia.canon/en/support/PIXMA%20G3000/model)?

Hi peetrie,

Have you tried any of the earlier suggestions?

It may be a good idea to start a new thread via the Ask the Community link above. Do not forget to mention the exact printer models in question, the Mac model/year, and details about how the printers are connected (Wi-Fi/Ethernet/USB). If a router is involved, the make and model. Please do not post serial numbers or access codes.

I assume that you mean 13.5.2.

I upgraded to ventura 13.5 update and now my Canon Pixma G3060 printer won't print full pages.
