Can the Apple Watch recognize its user by some biometric data collected by the watch without user input?

Is it possible for Apple to offer the feature to set your iWatch to stay unlocked when it senses that YOU are still wearing it? It would of course have the initial code entry, as per usual, but then it would never ask for your passcode unless you chose to lock your face, or took off your watch.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, with which generation of iWatch? Or app?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer!

But wrist detection is not specific to you.

The Apple Watch does not build a biometric profile on you that it uses to know it is you.

If you enable a passcode, that is used to tell the Apple Watch it is you.

It is possible to unlock your Apple Watch with your iPhone, which again tells the Apple Watch it is you. Your iPhone may use biometric data, such as Face ID, or finger print reader. But the iPhone can also be unlocked with a passcode, without any biometric data being involved.
