Transferring international esim to new iphone?

Not sure if anyone has attempted this.

iPhone 14 went to eSims. I have a line in the US and an eSim from a carrier overseas for when I travel. Both lines are currently activated on my iPhone 14. I had to go into the store to activate them the first time since I moved from a physical sim to eSim.

I'm currently in the US.

Question: When I get the new iPhone 15, does anyone know if my eSim from overseas will be able to transfer and work properly? I'm concerned that since I'm not physically overseas and under "their network" - that the transfer will not work properly.

Any clue?

Transfer a physical SIM or eSIM on your previous iPhone to an eSIM on your new iPhone after setup. On your new iPhone, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add Data Plan. Choose a mobile data plan to transfer from another iPhone. If you don't see a list of numbers, tap Transfer From Another iPhone.
