Unable to allow third party kernel extensions

Hi all

I have been trying to install Tuxera's 'NTFS for Mac' driver. Following their installation instructions, the final step to take is to enable third party extensions by entering the Mac Startup Security Utility. I try this, but receive the following error: 'No administrator was found', followed by 'Bioetric Accessory is not connected'. Please see pictures for the windows I am shown.

I am the sole user of this laptop, bought it brand new, and am assigned as an administrator of the computer. I have tried restarting the computer and entering the Startup Security Utility multiple times, but receive the same error messages.

If anyone could advise on how I can get third party kernal extensions working, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you
