Google images does not have an option to copy image on Safari Iphone

When using google images I am able to press on the thumbnail to enlarge the image. Usually I would then be able to hold my finger on the image and it would bring up a menu to copy image or save to photos. now it only highlights the image in blue as if it were text with an option to copy or look up. The copy option only copies the URL and the look up option only comes back with the message "nothing to look up..."

From the thumbnail I can also bring up a menu by holding a finger on the image. there is no option to copy image from there either.

for a few days I could get around this on private browsing. Google images would function normally but now using private browsing or a different user causes google images fail. At first it looks normal but no images can be opened and when the page is reloaded google images does not reload and only shows a white (or black, with dark mode) screen. No amount of reloading will fix the page.

I have turned my phone off and on again. I have cleared history and website data. I have tried removing all website data, resetting my phone. I don't want to factory reset because I would loose everything for the risk it still wouldn't be fixed.

I do not have this problem on my laptop so it is not caused by connection to google images issue. I do not have this problem using bing images or from other websites such as Wikipedia so it is not a problem with the phone's ability to copy and paste images.

I am on Safari, Iphone 6, 12.5.7
