Apple should add a setting to set apple watch always on feature OFF during the night

Cant use apple watch always on feature because it is too bright to be used during the night and there is no possibility to disable it just for the night period. So I have to disable it fully. Always on display is too bright to be used in the night even with minimum brightness. If my wrist happens to be in front of the wifes eye it is far too bright, so using the feature should be possible to limit to day time only. Do you have similar experiences ? Is there any workarounds ? Good feature but this missing setting makes it useless.

That's is why I'm suggesting you enable sleep tracking. It will stop that from happening while you're waiting to see if Apple will make the change you want.

Then submit your feedback to Apple. My guess is that what you want is unlikely as Apple already provides a way to darken the screen and, Apple being Apple, they have decided how it should be done. But, you never know.

You also might consider using the sleep tracking. Once it's set, it's automatic and you don't ever have to look at the data if you don't want to. I admit, I mostly use it for the do not disturb and alarm aspects.

Got feedback from last night that watch is lightening the room, so look like I have switch always on feature fully Off when there is no option to have it off just for the night. It would be so easy to have that setting in the same place as always on on/off selection. But after Jobs Apple IOS is not that easy to use any more, UI is getting complicated and unlogical.

I think sleep tracking was on but still watch is not totally dark during the night,

Then something is not set up right. The reason I'm so sure about this is because it mildly annoys me that I can't see the time on my watch if I wake up in the middle of the night. Fortunately, Siri on my phone to the rescue.

I'm sorry I don't have any additional ideas as to why your Watch doesn't do what I think it's supposed to do.
