Private Browsing with Safari: How to make Safari using iPhone 13 always open tabs in Private

I Don’t think Safari has this option natively but you can use a shortcut instead. You can create your own or use mine here.

To create your own just open the Shortcuts app and create a new shortcut, add a new action to it “Create new private tab” and add the shortcut to your Home Screen.

That kinda works. But it creates a new tab every time. If safari is already open I weans it to just show Safari in whatever pages I have open.

like the original poster I just want to make Safari always be private. I don’t understand why that’s not allowed.
