I’ve recently noticed that I can no longer go into private tabs in safari. There’s not even an option to do it. There are still settings for private tabs in safari settings though. This could have been caused by the IOS 18 update, but I don’t use private tabs that often so I’m not so sure.

If that is not working, and you have Focus, Screen Time, or Parental Controls enabled, disable that temporarily, and check again.
