Use my phone bought in the US in Italy.

I'm Italian and passing a year in the US, if I buy the iPhone 15 pro here, which has no physical sim, will I be able when I get home to change sim and use the phone in Italy? I'd have a Verizon contract here and an Italian contract back home.
