If my iphone was stolen and turned off is there a way to locate it?
Sends the last known location but is there a way to know the actual location?
iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

The iPhone 12 and later may be locatable after being powered off so long as the battery actually has power.
Yes, it's possible, but in reality doesn't really happen. The idea is like how Tile tracking devices work and that is if a device is moving around and it comes near other iPhones, it may pick up a location that way. It's nice in theory, but hasn't really helped anyone I've heard of. Thieves are smart enough to put a stolen phone in something which can't pick anything up. So in reality an iPhone powered off isn't really trackable.
Sorry, but if its not powered on, nor connected to a network, there is no way to know where it is.
Thanks. Obviously, thieves know that already. That’s why they hurry to turn them off😖. It’s just that some info in apple site says you can know where ii is even out of battery (which I thought same as turnoff) or not in a known red (connected). Anyway, I appreciate your prompt reply.
Thieves are very fond of putting stolen phones in a special type of bag that will not allow the phone to send or receive a signal......even if the phone is powered on with good battery power and otherwise working normally.
