Wondering if you have chosen a large-numbered watch face, and want to change to another watch-face,

whether you are zoomed right in, and just need to zoom back out: Use Zoom on Apple Watch - Apple Support

Eg: says: Once you have set it up you can:

"Zoom in or out: Double-tap the Apple Watch display with two fingers."
