a different playlist starts playing when reopening apple music

When I listen to Apple Music while connected to my car’s Bluetooth it tries to revert to a playlist of music I didn’t make. I will leave Apple Music open in the background all day to continue listening to what I was from the morning but when connecting to my car it will switch over to that other playlist and I lose the spot I was at on the playlist I chose. Is there a way I can set a default playlist or stop it from switching over like this?

Welcome musiclistenr123,

This is something we can definitely assist you with, thanks for posting here.

It's possible that the manufacturer of your vehicle or stereo system are sending a playback signal to your iPhone, which is opening Apple Music which then begins to play the content you're describing. While there isn't a way to disable this feature on your iPhone or to customize which content plays, you may be able to disable the auto-play signal being sent from your vehicle's stereo system. For that, you would want to reach out to the manufacturer and see if this is something that you can customize with a setting built into the system.
