FaceTime calling +52

On my iPad, I am no longer able to call or or receive calls through FaceTime. It adds +52. I have turned off FaceTime, numerous times, but the 52 still comes up. Can you help?

Greetings Joy_ful,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, it's great to have you here.

We want to recommend a few troubleshooting steps that you can take which we believe will help get this resolved. It sounds like you may have toggled FaceTime already but we're going to include that step as well just to ensure that all of our bases are covered.

To start, work through the steps here:

  1. Update iPadOS on your iPad if possible: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  2. Toggle iMessage and FaceTime: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

Turn off and restart iMessage and FaceTime
1. Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
2. Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
3. Restart your device:
* iPhone
* iPad
* iPod touch
4. Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.

After you've completed those steps, test the issue again and see if you're able to make calls successfully without the +52 country prefix being added.

Thank you for being a part of the community here. We hope this information helps!

Best wishes.
