Active Directory Authentication Server Could Not Be Contacted issue .. pt2

This post is really a follow up on original post made by flacojo32 awhile back found here: Active Directory Authentication Server Co… - Apple Community

I found a fix and decided to post after running into duplicate issue but getting through it.

I was attempting to join my new MacBook Pro M2 to the AD domain while home and connected to hardware VPN router. I was able to ping domain controller server and perform every single office function from home with ease EXCEPT add the machine to the network.

The fix - I had to manually edit your TCP/IP info and INCLUDE the AD server DNS and domain name. Try again. Should have success!
