Difficulty Transferring Data from iPhone 8 Plus to iPhone 14 Pro Max

I recently purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max and am trying to transfer my data from my old iPhone 8 Plus. Both phones have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled. However, when I turn on my new iPhone 14 Pro Max and initiate the data transfer process, the "Continue" option does not appear on my iPhone 8 Plus.I've followed all the recommended steps and made sure both devices are close to each other and fully charged. Still, I'm unable to proceed with the data transfer.I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide to help me successfully set up my new device and transfer my data.Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

You say bluetooth and wifi are enabled, but you don't specify whether they are connected to a WiFi network...

They need to be connected to the same Wifi network. It probably will not work if you're using public WiFi. Public WiFi networks are often configured as guest networks. That means the devices connecting to it can not connect to each other, only out to the Internet.

Transferring to a New iPhone:

Use Quick Start. If you a transferring to a new iPhone, then this is the link to use: Use Quick Start to Transfer Data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Use Quick Start to transfer data. If you have iOS16, then the iOS cannot be downgraded (and as a result, things would no be just like your iPhone 8). So, Force Restart your iPhone, and then try using Quick Start.

Then your best bet may be to make a backup of your iPhone 8 Plus, then restore your iPhone 14 Pro Max from the iPhone 8 Plus backup.

Transferring to a New iPhone:

Clear Space, and then perform the transfer.

See if you need to clear lots of space. System resources may be using up too much services, making it overheat. Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. I have tried a lot. If I setup it manually then it just can download data from I cloud backup. But my concern is that I want to transfer whole data from 8Plus to 14 pro max. I can not get the "Continue" Option on 8 Plus when I start to setup new I phone 14 Pro Max.
