I'm getting an error trying to restore an iphone 8

I get the following error after going through all the steps and seeing progress as if it's all going well to restore. I've disabled all my antivirus etc and this is on a fully updated windows 10 pc. I've also tried brand new data cables etc

the iphone could not be restored. an unknown error occured (1100)

An unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)

The phone used to be able to get to the home screen but after trying to restore it now only shows the restore screen with the little computer monitor image with the power cord and the following at the top of the screen support.apple.com/iphone/restore

Anyone have a clue what I should do next?
