I moved on from Android with my iPhone 7 and never looked back .. but one function I dearly miss is the ability to freeze icons, then rearrange them anywhere you want them WHILE ALL THE OTHER ICONS STAY PUT AND DON’T MOVE! Android has had this functionality on devices AND online for years. We’re at iOS 17 and still can’t do this?
Am I just a voice in the wilderness on this issue? Trying to organize pages full of icons - as is now - is insane!!!

Do your Part: If you think this is a useless feature of Apple, then inform Apple of this. Apple wont get back to you directly on this, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they'll know what suits their customers' needs and wants. Apple will not know you opinions of this, if you don't report it.

Provide Apple with your Feedback:
Sure it's been reported in these forums. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported it directly to Apple?" Apple will know nothing of this if you don’t report it.
There's no noise probably because very few people care.
I keep frequently used apps on the first page, and only ever look at that page. For any other apps I swipe down and start typing its name until it appears as an autocomplete choice. iOS learns from that and suggests those apps faster. When I'm near a physical location (store, school, work, etc.) where I've opened an app that way in the past, those apps appear as suggestions as soon as I swipe down.
I have suggested this to Apple via the feedback option twice before … I will do it again.
Thank you … I will report it again. Just not sure why there’s not more noise about this.
