Why won't Notifications turn on my iPhone screen

Same here.

My screen doesn't turn on when I receive any notifications.

The post from SravanKrA doesn't help as none of that is an issue for me. Furthermore, this only happens on my iPhone 15 Pro max, while it's working on my iPhone 14 Pro.

And they have the same settings, as I've literally updated the 15 pro max via the 14 pro...

Help please, it´s a brand new phone not working as it should, as I keep missing notifications, since I have mine in silence (same for the 14 pro...).

Yes Im having that same problem since the update to 17.5, but it only effects my iphone XR and not my iphone SE, I have reset the phone 3 time and it works for a couple notification then it goes back to not working.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max

Whenever I get any sort of notifcation I hear the sound but the screen doesn't turn on.

A few things it isn't:

• The specific notifications have lock screen toggled on.

Keep in mind, get the notification SOUND no problem. The screen just doesn't turn on. But when I go and tilt the phone up, the notification is there.

Hello all, 2 weeks ago I bought an iphone 14 pro which required update to 17.5.1 to be set-up. I transferred everything from my old XS (running iOS 16 and working absolutely normally in everything). From the very first time the notifications made sound when arriving but the lock screen didn’t light. Only if I have “always on display” (which I do not prefer) I can see notifications.

I tried almost every advice found on google search. i called also Apple Support which offered nothing. Told me to wait for new iOS. But as I read many of you had other iOS and I’m really curious if anyone of you had this resolved after updating his/her iOS??

My iPhone 15 lock screen won't light up for notifications anymore. I dropped the phone and had the screen replaced with an off brand LCD screen. I didn't realize it wasn't an Apple brand OLED screen. All of my settings look good. Anyone know if that's the issue?

Please how’d you do that? I search “screen guard” on settings but I couldn’t find it. I have this issue on my 14pro since the first time I bought this phone. My phone screen still won’t light up whenever I receive the notification 😭

Its currently the 8th December 2024 and I'm still having this issue, I had brand new iPhone 14 which i sadly broke so I had to get a new one through my mums bank. I received it set it up and it's doing this problem. Tried restarting went through every possible setting in my phone and it still doesn't work. I didn't have this problem with my last phone at all and it was even completely smashed. So it's most likely a problem with the new update, even though I didn't have that problem on my last phone. I can't think of anything else apart from it being an issue with the new IOS update.

Just got myself iPhone 14 Pro and currently facing this issue. Tried everything from restarting my phone, to removing the screen protector, none seemed to work.

Just updated to ios 18.2 and the problem still not fixed.

I have iphone 14, m facing problem in ringer, phone doesn't ring in calling or message , either a regular call or whatsapp call ,it only vibrate.

I have checked all the settings phone is not on do not disturb or on silent mode. How could I fix the issue?

I wish it was that! I have reset the phone completely and also I placed another sim. The issue is there. I tried now the forgot wi-fi you wrote, but nothing changed. Notifications do not light up the screen. Even after the last update.

i have the same issue. Do u also face issue while changing wallpaper from lockscreen? Because i am also facing it. Even i got my phone updated to 18.3 but still problem persists. I got my screen changed after that this issue occurred 

Yes! I also have the issue of NOT being able to change the wallpaper from lock screen. Only when it’s on Standby mode (landscape & charging) I can change the wallpaper from lock screen. But this does not bother me compared to not lighting the screen when notifications arrive.

Have you resolved the notifications issue when you changed the screen?? Was the screen damaged or so internally? What you have been told?
