Dropbox and Apple Apps

Hey, hoping someone might be able to help here.

I'm running short on disk space on my 2019 Macbook Pro which is running Ventura 13.5.2.

I can see that my Apple Applications are referencing about 115GB of storage and I wondered if I can move those to Dropbox where I have spare storage. Specifically it looks like this:

iMovie Library file 44gb
iTunes Media 61gb
Photos Library file 10gb

Can it work to move these to Dropbox without any issues? Will all relevant apps like iMovie still work ok etc...

Hi,

You can DropBox as external drive(You need to option+click application icon to select data of applications.), though I recommend using iCloud Drive rather than DropBox.

Simply you should use external storage, I think.

Thanks kaz-k - appreciate the help here. I have way more storage available on Dropbox so will test that first. I am nearly maxed out on Apple's highest icloud plan :-)
