plugins for transisions

Hi i am new to this,

I am new to the MAC OS as such. and have a MAC OS Monterey 12.6.8

I want to use iMovie. And I find the transitions inbuilt are rather limited. PL suggest the Plug-Ins I can get for Transitions, and Backgrounds and texts

Hi, Zahidya,

iMovie does not accept third party plug-ins for transitions or other features. However, I have found that one can make nice custom transitions with the Keynote app that is on your Mac. Put a clip into Keynote and add one or more of the numerous animations available to make a transition. Then export the clip as a movie and drag it into iMovie.

Thanks Rich, I appreciate your clarification and suggestion.

Just that I read in the I Movie community, that Gee THree Plugins were being used by some readers here.

When I tried to get into the GeeThree site or even to their customer support, i ketp getting error 404 or or some such.

I shall certainly try out the suggestion of Keynote.

No, Mac OS Monterey 12.6.8 does not predate iMovie HD 6. iMovie HD 6 was back in 2006. Monterey is 2023.

iMovie 6 is a 32 bit app that won't run on Monterey, that is a 64 bit operating system.

I remember using Gee Three years ago when I was running iMovie 6. The effects were really great. Looking now at the Gee Three website it does not appear that the app has been updated since iMovie 6.
