Is there a way to submit an Activation Lock Unlock request for a business?

We have 3 iPhones that belong to former employees and we have reached out to them notifying that they need to remove these phones from iCloud/Find My but with no success. We don't have an MDM for our company iPhones so we can not remove them from there either. I tried to submit an activation unlock request via the ticketing system but the requests were rejected because we are a business entity. Is there any other way to submit and unlock request for iPhones that belong to a business? Thanks in advance for any tips on this.

I've been fighting this issue for a while and finally found what needs to be done. There is a separate activation lock removal request for business devices. You have to call Apple support, and hopefully, you will talk to someone who knows what needs to be done. Ask for someone in Business support. They will send you a link to a form you have to submit. It's only accessible if they send it to you and is only valid for 30 days. Put all of the devices you need unlocked on the form because once you submit it you will have to call again to get another link.

In the past, I have gone to the Apple store with the proof of purchase, and they would remove the activation lock. The last time I went they said their policy changed and they would no longer do it for business devices in store. I had a co worker go to a different apple store and they did it for him so maybe it depends on the store or who happens to be working at the time.

If your sim card is locked, contact the wireless provider

which owns the sim card for assistance unlocking or

replacing the sim.

If you mean your iPhone will only work with one provider's

sim card, you will have to contact that provider to see if

they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

If this is not what you are asking, provide more details

so some one may offer a solution.

Apple may have a very limited (and not clearly specified in their documentation) criteria for "proof of purchase". The information page does not say what constitutes proof although it is generally assumed (again, without actual basis) that it needs to be the original receipt from Apple itself when the item was purchased from Apple. I'm sorry we can't be more specific but we don't work for Apple and just have to go on what their say (or do not in this case) in their documentation. Before Apple officially introduced the unlocking policy it was basically up to the store manager what they considered to be proof. Then Apple started an official online unlocking policy but all we know is what it says in that document.
