How to disable Trainer Tips on Apple Fitness Summary tab

IOS added extremely annoying Trainer Tips to the Fitness Summary tab. If I want to see garbage ads, I’ll go to the Fitness+ tab. HINT: I don’t and won’t.

Training tips are ads for Fitness+. The fact they are 30-second videos makes it clear to me. Apple should allow users to remove these tips if they don’t need them.

I sent feedback, crossing fingers they make this thing optional.

The Workout App is our tool and not a vehicle for Apple to push content, quasi advertising content. That ruins my feng shui.

Who wrote the Workout app? Who owns the rights to the code? Who owns the right to make changes to it as they wish? Is that you? Or Apple? If you don't like it, you are free to use something else. You are also free to give feedback to Apple:

Training tips hardly seem like advertising to me. They seem like part of fitness. If I pay a personal trainer, they don't just tell me what exercises to do, they also give me suggestions on how to improve form, maybe improve my diet.

You can turn notifications off all across the phone with much precision, and you should be able to turn this "fitness tip" notification off also. Even worse, once you watch the video the notification doesn't disappear, but stays there, right in the middle of the main fitness screen.

I agree with others in that I find the workout app a nice "internal space", where I can think about myself and not be bugged by ads and notifications. Having someone's face and name is super annoying. Will submit feedback also. (I suspect this will go the way of "clippy" the helpful paperclip in Office apps!)

I would prefer updates that are separate, ie: security updates separate from enhancements. I do not like or want photo organization, apple watch fitness trainer or iphone flashlight. I would like to delete them all. I accept updates because some are security. Those are the only ones I want.

There are so very many reasons why that will never happen, but I suppose it won't hurt to ask.

Have you looked at any of them? A recent tip, "3 steps to better squats" gave form tips for squats. The only mention of Fitness + was when the instructor introduced herself as "a Fitness+ instructor". All of the others I've watched have been similar. No pushing of Fitness+.

here’s a helpful tip for you: you can disable voicemail notifications and ignore the very tiny icon that’s in the bottom of the page.

if Apple allowed us to hide “trainer tips” or at least make it as unobtrusive as voicemail this wouldn’t be an issue.

as for complaints: everyone here thinks it is at best annoying and useless. Except you no one praises it.

If they don’t get rid of it soon then instead of upgrading my tech with apple I will go to Samsung instead. Let my wallet do the talking for me.

You should always buy the tool that best meets your needs. No one reading here in this thread has any vested interest in what that is.

I would note that Samsung phones are notorious for bloatware that can't be installed.
