How to optimise storage on MacBook

I use my Mac for business and personal, and have a OneDrive account for each. My problem is that, although I seem to have all my docs stored in OneDrive On-Demand my Storage info is still showing 36GB of docs stored on my Mac.

Having OneDrive store documents in "the cloud" does not necessarily mean they are not also stored locally.

I prefer iCloud Drive over One Drive but they both want you to have access to your files if the internet goes down. The only way to assure that happens is to have them available locally.

If you have technical issues with OneDrive, ask Microsoft. It is after all their product.
