Force sensor on AirPods Pro (3rd gen) unresponsive

I got brand new AirPod pros 3rd gens and I love them but the force sensor on the stem only lets me change volume. It doesn’t let me skip tracks, play, or pause them. I have tried resetting them and it hasn’t seemed to work. Is there something I should try? Please let me know.

AirPod 3rd Gen Force Sensor Not Working I purchased a pair of 3rd Gen AirPod's earlier today and the force sensor is not working. I have not been able to pause/skip/replay a song but I can hear the "ding" after holding down the stem. I have looked in settings and believe I am in the right area, but I have not found exactly where to enable this feature. Are they possibly defective, or can you not pause a song by holding the stem anymore.

Turn force sensors in AirPod Pro off Saw the 2020 discussion. At that time you can not to turn off force sensors. Now 2023. This feature is still unavailable? The sensor on left Airpod does not work and he randomly pauses the music. Why i still can not to set tasks for taps except double tap for siri and noise control? Help please. Reset is not working, the force sensor is broken.

Omg I’m stupid, I didn’t know you had to put pressure on it. I’m used to the AirPods 3rd gens where you can just lightly tap and it works.
