iOS 17 text tones

Updated to iOS 17, just to find out that my custom text tones are no longer appearing/usable. Works fine for ringtones, but not text messages. I have different tones set for my most frequent people, so it’s irritating that they’ve all gone to default ‘ding’ sound.

IOS 17 issues with text tones, etc I've updated to IOS 17 and all of the text tones that I had previously downloaded from various sources are now listed under ring tone options. I've used the bottle opener sound for new texts for years but now the Apple software has moved them to my ring tones. Furthermore, the new text tone choices under 17 are awful and the sound is barely audible for each one. I guess a 2.7 trillion dollar company just can't get it right.

Custom text tones missing in iOS 17 update Downloaded ios 17 update and started noticing my messages was not giving me notification. These messages are affected for people who have specific tones (call/messaging) attached to them. I went to Sound setting and the text tone option is not showing the downloaded tones anymore and only on the Ringtone option. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Custom text tones gone or missing in iOS 17 My custom Tones for Text Tone gone missing after iOS17 install? I have many custom text tones for incoming text message and now they are inaccessible. I missed imoportant incoming text messages because their custom text tone is not accessible! The TONES are still on my iPhone, if I choose to change a Ringtone. But they are not accessible if needing to (and I do need to) change TEXT tone!

Well, well, well…I’m not a beta user.. but I now have access to my custom tones, after downloading and installing 17.1, just now.
