QuickTime folder does not receive pfd files ?

I am trying to move pdf files to Quick Time Player folder but it does not work.

The QT folder accept png but not pfd ??

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 13.5

Are you asking why is there no documentation that an audio/visual player doesn't do anything with pdf files? It also won't accept Excel files, Pages files or any number of other kinds of files that aren't media files.

Can you reproduce the problem ?

I believe that QuickTime uses audio and video file formats only . The attachment below is quite helpful :

Open audio file like .mp3 in QT Player > File > Duplicate, Edit > Trim from the end and Trim from the start and save both files, open the saved start clip and Edit > Add Clip to End and add the end clip > File > Export as audio (.m4a). Or use a dedicated app for this.
