There is no "List type" on my reminders

I found a solution but in reality I don't think it should function like this.

In Settings under Language & Region I had to set English as the first one. This came with additional changes to some translations (for example weekdays on lock screen).

Why I think it's still a bug:

• In Settings under Reminders you can override "preferred language" if there are any other languages in Language & Region list (for example: 1. English, 2. Polish)
• If Polish is set in Reminders Language settings (preferred language), list type still works but the app is translated.

BUT!

• If in Language & Region its set as 1. Polish, 2. English:
• If either Polish or English is set in Reminders Language setting (preferred language), list type won't work but the app is translated.

I had to connect my reminders app to iCloud for it to work. Hope that helps

changing you whole phone to English indeed works the get the list option. But I don’t want my phone to be in English! Also if I type the groceries in my own language it doesn’t recognize it. This is really a shame for such a company like Apple. I think it’s not so hard to translate. So this feature is useless if you’re native language is not English.

I can confirm, shopping list (list type option) will be available only if you have reminders set to sync with iCloud. It is really stupid, why it cannot be local to device? I am not gonna be going shopping with my MacBook…

I have the same issue. Tried every method I could find on the internet, including:

1. Turning iCloud sync for Reminders OFF and ON (no other accounts used besides iCloud). iCloud sync itself definitely works (between phone, laptop and web iCloud).
2. Deleting the app and reinstalling it
3. Restarting my iPhone

Have tried these steps in different combinations and multiple times.

Running 17.0 on iPhone 14 Pro. Tried with Reminders app on my Macbook also, can't select list type there as well.
