I changed my Apple ID password and can now only open files in Microsoft as Read Only. I am unable to edit the text in documents.

The issue is I cannot download from the apple store because I am being told that my password is incorrect. That is NOT the case. In fact I am typing this on the same OS using chrome and I signed into my apple ID to post this. I cannot figure why the apple store would be telling me my password is incorrect on this operating system. It works on Monterey (on the internal drive) and I can sign into icloud on this OS (Yosemite) without issues. Any thoughts? Thank you

Cannot log in to iCloud on macOS Yosemite I have set up on older MacBook Pro 2010 with a clean install of Yosemite 10.10.5. The whole purpose of this setup is to be able to access older software and older client files. This mac will NOT and CANNOT be updated to a newer OS for this reason. It needs to stay right where I have it. That being said, I cannot login to iCloud. The username and password are correct, but it won't let me in. I do not want to change the password as I am using many newer devices and I know for a fact that changing the password across all devices will not solve this problem. It seems like it's an issue with this older macOS. Any suggestions or solutions?

Accessing MS Files After Changing the Apple ID:

Start with a Restart:

Restart your Mac, having just changed the Apple ID Password. See if that does anything for you. Report back the results.

Your AppleID has nothing to do with your ability to open Microsoft files. You AppleID allows you access to all the Apple internet goodies.

I suggest you ask in a Word users group about Word's behavior.
