Sending iPhone from Australia to Indonesia

Hello, I heard that if I send a iPhone that was brought in Australia to Indonesia that the phone will get deactivated after 6 months is this true ?

iPhone locked under US Reseller Flex Policy – wrongly applied, need help Hello, I received an iPhone purchased at Target (USA) that was supposed to be fully unlocked for use in Peru, it was activated in Peru on June 3, 2025, and has never been used with any U.S. SIM or eSIM. However, it’s locked under the US Reseller Flex Policy, which Apple confirmed should not apply, Target refuses to help unless I return the phone to the U.S., which is not possible for us. I need help getting this reviewed and unlocked, I can provide proof of purchase, activation, and correspondence. Can someone from Apple escalate this or advise me on how to fix this carrier lock? Thank you in advance.

Who told you that?

If it is a carrier unlock iPhone, you’re free to go with the carrier of your choice.

If you send the iPhone by post, you should have it insured.

Also be aware that iPhone warranty is NOT international. If the phone requires warranty support or service in Indonesia, it will need be brought back to Australia.
