How can I reset by passcode without erasing my data

Question

I forgot my passocde that I changed recently I am blank and phone is asking me to verify my face ID with my passcode

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Unfortunately, it's too late. The data has already been lost. Hopefully you have a current backup.
