It’s like, I can physically see several lines on my screen and it gives letters a shadow effect (as if the letters are on top of each other) and everything is blurred and wonky. This is not the first it happened but I don’t remember what I did and no useful results on the web come up. Any solutions?

Take a screenshot on your iPhone - Apple Support
then export the picture to a different device where you can view and compare on a known good display. (email to a family member?). If it has no distortion the fault is in the display of your iPhone SE, so it is likely to be a hardware defect. If the exported screen shot also shows distortion the fault is in the processing and generation of the screen, so it could be a software problem.
Next step is probably to try a software update to iOS 17.
