Everything on my screen has a shadow around it and the color looks off. When I move the screen to different angles it fixes itself but when the screen is in a comfortable position the shading comes back. I added a picture of what the shadow looks like. This kinda shadow is around everything on the screen even when I open new tabs.

I want to re-iterate that the shadows and their disappearing is not an ordinary Video artifact. However, the built-in display does not use ordiabnry video protocols and may be subject to cable problems.
If you have an Apple-owned store available, you appointment for an over-the-counter evaluation and bench diagnostic is free, in warranty or out.
Apple-Authorized Service Providers may charge an 'Evaluation fee', intended to discourage you from consuming technician time with frivolous issues.
If you can reproduce the issue on demand, the technician should be able to provide direct advice.
The solution to most screen-specific issues is repair-by-replacement, which can be more than US$600 for that sized display, but covered with only a copayment (likely around US$100) if you have AppleCare PLUS.

still running MacOS 12.5 ? latest Monterey is 12.6.3
This is a screenshot of my computer screen. The shadowish part is right above the apps on the white part of the screen. I'll add a picture from my phone to show you better. Usually, the shadow behind the search box is not there and it's not this dark.
I don't see no shadows. You will need to be MUCH more specific about EXACTLY what you find alarming.

That's NOT a possible video artifact.
I am sure that shadow is there by design, to give features depth.
No this just started happening randomly. It wasn’t due to an update or anything because when a tilt my screen to a different angle it goes away.
