Facebook Messenger app not working after iOS 17 Update

It’s the font size. I found this

I put my messenger app font size down to 135% and now it works. I was able to use this to figure out how to get everything else at 160%. I guess I have old eyes.

If it is, contact Facebook; Apple cannot fix third-party apps.

I deleted the messenger app again & reinstalled late tonight after reading your response & now it’s working.

Work around .. Solved the glitch somehow. Make your txt size smaller under "Display & Brightnes"

You must turn down the text size under display settings and it will no longer crash

I updated ios to 17.2 deleted messenger and reinstalled it and it works now

Only Meta can fix this.

They released a new version hours ago to enhance iOS 17 compatibility, but since the last version didn't crash for me I can't promise it behaves differently.

Apple cannot do anything about it.

Yes it just helped me. Reduce you’re text size on your phone and it will work.

Then you will need to contact Facebook Support.

For what it's worth, it does not crash on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, it works normally.
