[MacOS] Ventura download location from recovery installation

Hi,

I downloaded Ventura through software update and it took ~10GBs of space. I then again (for troubleshooting) downloaded and installed Ventura through Recovery Options, and what I noticed is that it took up 10GBs more of System Data. How can I find the Ventura download (there is no dmg file in the Applications folder) as I believe that is what is taking up System Data space?

I checked the ~system and ~library folder, nothing that large is found there, unless it is separated in multiple folders.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.5

Was the above done as a UpDate or done as an upGrade

I would understand downloading maybe 12.xx GB if this was an upGrade from a previous version of macOS

But would not understand if this was an Update from say macOS 13.5 to current version 13.5.2

FYI - Apple Ceased to offer .dmg files for either an update or an upgrade starting somewhere around OS X 10.12 Sierra.

So, if look for .dmg file for a Full Installer of Ventura, there is not one

Best you might find would be an " Install Ventura " application in the Applications Folder

Generally, once an UpGrade has been performed successfully , the " Install Ventura " application self destructs

To get a better look at the Drive layout of this computer

Please provide a Screen Shot for Disk Utilities >> View All Devices

You may have an Extra Volume occupying the extra 10 GB you mentioned above

Thank you for the reply! First it was an upgrade to 13.5.2, then it was "fresh install" through Recovery. After the upgrade, I assume the installed sorta self-deleted, however, after the recovery install I noticed the 10GBs extra.

Mac is new, so expect a few applications, I don't have much on there.
