Space bar Stop/start stopped working iPad GarageBand

I have run into this problem a few times, and usually it somehow fixes itself. This time I restarted iPad, but still the space bar was no longer stopping and stopping the play on the timeline in GarageBand.

Anyone else had this problem?

iPadOS 26 App Rearrangement Causes Freezing and Crashing on M4 11-inch iPad Pro I have an M4 11-inch iPad Pro. It has always been an incredible device, but has since been rendered a source of immense and constant anger with the new iPadOS 26. Mainstage freezes at the Audio PlugIn scan...I have removed the plugins that were causing the problem, but it won't load the concert because the software freezes at the scan. MainStage wonky laid concert because the application freezes at the plugin scan, even after removing the problem plugins.

I did somehow solve it by reading what someone else had done, I believe on their Mac.

I went to Settings, Accessibility, Keyboards, and turned on Full Keyboard Access.

I then went back into GarageBand and closed my project.

Then I went back to Keyboards in settings and turned off Full Keyboard Access, and now the space bar works again.

No clue why, but yay it’s solved. Hope this helps others.
