When I do use Apple Pay later do I still get Apple Cash money when purchasing?

No. Apple Pay Later allows you to split a purchase into four payments, each of which are charged to a debit card only. Apply for an Apple Pay Later loan and make a purchase - Apple Support
For example, if I make a purchase for $100 today, September 20th:
- Using Apple Pay Later, I would pay $25 today, $25 on Oct 4, $25 on Oct 18, and $25 on Nov 1.
- Using Apple Card and Apple Pay, I would pay $0 today, earn $2 in cash back tomorrow, and would owe Apple/Goldman Sachs Bank USA $100 anytime before October 31.
- Using a debit card or Apple Cash, I would pay $100 today.
Given this, I personally would use Apple Card to make the purchase, since the net cost of the purchase would be $98, and the timeliness of my final payment is not significantly different from using Apple Pay Later. This is not financial advice.
