Flashlight/Control Center Gone

I downloaded the IOS10 for my apple watch the other day and I can't find the flashlight feature. After checking online, everyone said about using the control center like I used to, when I realized I can't get that either. It brings up my widgets now. Anyone else having this issue?

Two things: since update, I can’t find flashlight. Told to press button on side but just get apps. They say edit to add flashlight, can’t see edit button.

Press this button

DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up the Emergency calling display.

Just a quick press and release will give you the Control Center that swipe used to give you.

If flashlight is not their, then you scroll to the end and tap “Edit” where you can add it back to Control Center.

If Apple is listening/reading this, bring back the flashlight icon when I swipe up on the watch screen!

This was invaluable for me to quickly swipe up and tap. Now I have to add an unnatural hand motion of turning my wrist to expose the side button, use the other hand to press the button, then swipe up then tap. It’s a matter of accessibility for me and many others.

i tried using a shortcut, hey Siri and a few other work arounds. None worked as quickly as swipe up and tap.

The update wasn’t great. It removed the quick action of swiping up to get the torch feature going. So ended up here looking for answers. Followed your instructions and I’ve found it now - thanks to your post. But overall the update didn’t make my life any easier 🫣

Apple does not read this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback.

But you can send Apple feedback via:

If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.
