IOS 17 Alarm Clock sound fades

It is designed to lower the volume as soon as it recognizes that you have heard it. If you don't want that, turn Settings > Face ID & Passwords > Attention Aware Features off.

I understand this feature and love the use of awareness in things like text messages and alerts. However, I’d really like the alarm to be excluded from this or have a separate toggle in settings. It seems to me that this features essentially eliminates the snooze function as it has silenced all future alarms once I look at it to hit snooze. I have woken up to see the “snooze” and “stop” displayed but no sound. I have snooze turned on with the volume turned all the way up. My phone is on a MagSafe charger utilizing standby mode at night. I have an iPhone 14 Pro.

This Alarm Awareness thing on iOS17 is THE DUMBEST F’ing thing I’ve ever heard of! It’s **** like this that will eventually make me dump Apple.

I couldn’t believe it when I kept missing ALARMS due to this so called feature of uselessness in ALARM OF ALL PLACES!!

Nearly lost my job due to this POS update.

If that's the intention for the feature, then it's broken. I have my iphone in a completely different room when I sleep and it still starts loud for two chimes, then goes super quiet, while I'm still in bed... in the other room. Which causes me to then oversleep if I don't get up immediately after the first chime.

Seriously, who wants this feature, to decrease in volume, waking up in the morning?

I need a function that can go full blast until I'm wide awake.

I am absolutely stunned that Apple would not think twice about the fact that when someone needs an alarm in the morning, they need to get awake from the alarm. I set my Alexa to alarm to two different songs, and when they play, you can barely hear them so now I’m waking up earlier but now I have had to use an apple noise ringer, which I don’t like to start out my day with noise I like to start it out with music set on Alexa . Get this off of iOS 17 or tell us how to get it off Please this is ridiculous

Learned this the hard way this morning when 200 of my passengers were late because Apple was trying to be helpful. Too often kids with way more education than common sense are turned loose with software without supervision. How many thousands of dollars in lost wages and other opportunities has this "genius" feature cost Apple users? It says a lot that Apple is well aware of this problem for years now and does nothing to resolve it. People are not even aware this can happen until it does to them. In most cases I suspect they just chalk it up to failing to properly set their alarm.

My home alarm sound has also faded beyond hearing. How do I fix that? My burglar alarm needs to be heard and it isn’t. This sound is so low you can’t recognize it at all.

Thank you for this! I thought I was losing my mind when I failed to hear my alarm. This feature shouldn’t be used with the alarm of all things.
