why can't i upgrade from montery to ventura?? doesn't show up in software updates, even though it CLAIMS ventura should work on my Mac!

What is it? Actually the latest system your Mac Pro can run is the latest release of macOS 12 Monterey.
Thanks for reply! Found that link, after posting. But, of course, I would have assumed a compatibility issue, except for the fact that, again, App Store software clearly gave me the impression that the software WAS, in fact, compatible with my Mac! But, given how much Apple has gone down, in quality, since Jobs died, guess I can't be surprised that there would be such a discrepancy. However, given my Mac Pro, I would NOT be surprised if it IS, in fact, compatible. But Apple doesn't design Mac Pro like the one I have any more. So I wonder, if they simply left it off of the list for that reason; and not because it's not actually incompatible. But who knows?? Since I am running Monterey, I assumed I should be good to go! Images are taken from the App Store entry for Ventura...
