Emojis missing after IOS 17 update?

Actually. I was looking for the recorded Memoji. I discover you have to tap the + button, go to More, click on Memoji, then the record screen comes up.

You seem to know a lot. I found that, but I am looking for the emoji’s with my avatar that don’t move and/or record. They used to be right next to the ‘normal’ emoji’s. Have you found where those went?

I have a similar issue with disappearing access to my imogiis.

its like the stone door set into the side of mount meru that Gandalf, the dwarves, and their burgle-are (sp) could not see, let alone open, until certain alignments came into coherant existence. my portal to the imojiis disappears and refuses to reappear. When in doubt, punt, or at least reboot. That sometimes works I just set it out. Sometimes I just click Randomly and hit some combination And voila there's a portal! Other times no dice.

Is this because I have a seven-year-old iPhone 8 Plus,? I hear that seven years is the end of the line in many ways.

Since the new update, my emojis are missing, and I'm having to create new avatars. It seems to be stuck on record mode. I don't want to record a message; I just want to use the avatar/emoji. Does anyone know how to get them back? The option to tap the + sign next to the input field and then tap "Stickers," followed by tapping the icon with three faces where all the memoji stickers are located, does not exist in the updated English keyboard.

This is a very limited selection of stickers that were created when the emojis were selected in the past. It does not give the large selection of options, or an option to search. I only have 13 emoji stickers and they are relevant to only limited situations.

I won't be upgrading my other iPhone from ios16... apple have really messed up this time.

Just updated to 17.1.1. My personal Avatar is gone. Can’t figure out how to redo it.

Same here. Although I enjoy other 17.1 features, missing easy access to emojis is an issue. All emojis worked well on my Yekbee 360X keyboard before the update.

Makes me not want to update any more. I like options.
