Im trying to link a replacement airpod pro to my case using this method given but it says that the AirPods are mismatched

After i forget the device and relink them by holding the back button, my phone recieves the notifcation that says theyre mismatched and wont connect.

I bought a replacement AirPod and when I tried to connect them it didn't work and said the AirPods were mismatched I bought the AirPod for 90 bucks at an official Apple Store and the worker there said I had to connect them in a very specific way and so I did but when I tried to get them both together it couldn't pair and said the AirPods were mismatched and didn't belong to me which is weird considering I spent 100 and a singular airpod I then continue to go to store where they were no help.

I bought a replacement right airpod pro (2nd gen) and It wont pair with each other or by itself. I bought a replacement Airpod Pro (R) and when I try to pair it to my phone or MacBook with both the right replacement Airpod pro and my old left airpod it says mismatch airpods but both have been forgotten from my device and ICloud find my iPhone. When I try to pair the right replacement by itself in the case it just flashes white with no prompt coming up and when I try to hard reset the airpod by itself the case beeps three times and flashes orange until I close and open the case again. I can pair my old airpod just fine with the case by itself but not with both in the case. I have tried firmware updates on the airpods but can't do it to the replacement pod because it won't pair.

Cannot connect Airpod Pros 2nd Gen to case and iphone I recently bought an A2699 replacement because mine has been broken for months. My charging case has been forgotten on my iPhone for months now as well. When I tried to connect my original 2nd A2698 and the new replacement, I get an error saying these airpods do not work together and do not belong to you. What do I do? I am beyond frustrated.
